Jesus tells the Pharisees that the greatest commandments are to love God and love others. Then he calls out their missed understanding that He is Lord- the very thing that gives them access to God and enables them to walk out those commandments well. Missing the divine nature of Jesus and the truth that He is the way to Father leads us to religion instead of relationship. We are to hear and obey God but first, we must recognize Jesus as Lord as we prepare for the Kingdom… a Jesus-shaped church on mission.

What does it look like when formation begins to take shape in how we live together? Jesus calls His church into a different kind of community; one marked by reconciliation, forgiveness, humility, and wholehearted obedience. As we receive His grace, steward what He’s given, and respond to His invitation, we learn to live not by appearance or obligation, but as people who truly belong to Him. This is the life of the Kingdom on display - a community bearing His image, extending His mercy, and living as a working model of new creation.
