CCCOG ANNUAL REPORT 2024
REFLECTING ON 2023
March 2024
“I do.” When I said these words at the altar on our wedding day in front of family and friends, and before God, the Pastor, and my future bride, I didn’t know what I was saying ‘yes’ to. Every day following I am continuing to learn more and more what “I do” really looks like. Isn’t that the way it is for the rest of us, whether it is in marriage, vocation, family, etc? We don’t really know what we are saying yes to, but we say it anyway with hopeful anticipation.
This month marks one year since I was confirmed in this role as lead pastor. In March of 2023, I didn’t really know what I was saying ‘yes’ to, but I did know God was calling the Burton family to remain in Centralia, and each day since has been an exciting adventure. Author and speaker Leonard Sweet says it this way: “At its best, the church offers, not an agenda that fits you in, but an adventure that fits you together.” And this is what I have experienced with my C3 Family.
Through this fiscal year we have celebrated new life with 10 Baptisms. 53 people have walked through the Next Steps class, hearing about who C3 is and where God is leading us. There are currently 19 groups with 149 unique members engaged in C3 Refresh Groups, Connect Groups, and Support Groups. This summer during Summer Sports Jam we had 124 campers and 109 volunteers who heard about the love of Jesus and were offered an opportunity to respond to an invitation to a relationship with Him. Our C3 Family is supporting Global and Local Mission Partners bringing the love of Jesus to local communities as well as across the globe. Happy Day Learning Center currently has 46 children enrolled and is entering its 45th year caring, nurturing, educating, and teaching about a God who loves them.
In all these areas we celebrate the abundance of God and the fullness of His Spirit as we continue to follow Jesus. As your pastor, I celebrate a church family who has said ‘yes’ to pursuing God’s plan for C3 and the community He has placed us in to be a beacon of hope.

As we celebrate what God is doing with a church who is faithful, there is still more to be done. It is with great joy and anticipation that we embark on a significant journey together – the launch of our Capital Support Campaign. As good stewards of our faith and custodians of this sacred space, we are called to nurture and enhance our spiritual home for the flourishing of generations to come.
Our church has been a beacon of hope, love, and unity for 124 years, and it is now time to fortify its foundation, both metaphorically and physically. The Capital Support Campaign aims to raise the necessary funds to undertake essential renovations, improvements, and expansions that will not only preserve our facility but also accommodate the evolving needs of our growing congregation.
Together, we can create an environment that fosters spiritual growth, community engagement, and Kingdom partnership. Whether you've been a part of the C3 family for generations or are newer to the family, your support is crucial in making this vision a reality.
We invite you to join us in this transformative journey by contributing financially to the Capital Support Campaign. Your generosity will not only shape the future of our church but also play a vital role in the lives of those who seek guidance and connection within these walls and a part of our C3 Family.
Let us unite as one body, driven by the spirit of generosity, as we lay the groundwork for a stronger, more vibrant future for Centralia Community Church of God. Together, we can pursue Christ, engage in Christian community, and partner in God’s Kingdom work as we ensure that our church continues to be a beacon of hope.

Board of Elders
3-year term (two consecutive terms permitted)
Jeff Hawkins
My family and I started attending C3 in the fall of 2015 after serving 13 years as a youth pastor at a church in Chehalis. After dating in high school, Sarah and I have been married for almost 33 years. We have 6 adult children and 5 grandchildren. Many of them, along with my mother, attend and serve at C3. You will find me regularly serving on the security team on Sunday morning. If we are not at church, we are probably at a beach collecting things in the sand. Having become a Christian as a young parent, I love seeing young adults and families fall in love with Jesus and embracing the teaching of the scriptures. I have a passionate heart for missions and I look forward to the opportunity to serve as one of your elders.
Dawn Okrasinski
I have been at CCCOG for more than 10 years. I have been married for 48 years and blessed with two daughters, their spouses, and seven wonderful grandchildren. I have been a Christian all of my life being baptized as a child. Yet, my relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, has been an intimate walk for only the last 25 years. I am a very strong believer in the power of prayer and have seen the miracles this devotion has brought to our church over the last four years. I have to say that one of the greatest blessings I have received is a sense of being planted in our beautiful church community. I have a purpose, a value, and a deep desire to serve our families. I am up for ratification for a second term on the Board of Elders and I am looking forward to continuing to teach, mentor those who are called to serve, and build God’s kingdom right in front of my own two feet.
