It’s important to know where we’re headed when we begin a journey. Likewise, we must know where our hope lies. Where we place our hope is essential for walking with Jesus. God searches our hearts and knows us. Will we walk with Him, placing our hope in the author and perfecter of our faith, on this journey?

When preparing for a journey, it is important to know where we’re headed and to plan for spontaneous changes. We are called to go on a journey; not because we are qualified, but because of who we are. But where does our identity come from? God speaks His identity into us. As we prepare to walk with Jesus on this journey of becoming like Him, we can rest in the assurance that He does not call the equipped; He equips the called.
